If your looking for great local eats, this is your place. It's worth looking for and driving to. Food is excellent, generous portions. It may not be fancy, but don't let that fool you. It's a great place to have a quality meal.
If you like Mom and Pop diners and dives, you should try this. It's off the beaten path a bit. Upgraded stars for today's visit (last time I gave 3 stars). Was here over a year ago and just didn't like Alex's Shrimp and Spinach salad which I ordered from the specials menu. I was just trying to make a healthy choice. Everyone else ordered fried seafood and was very happy with their food.
Again Alex's Shrimp and Spinach Salad was listed as a special but this time I went for the fried platter of shrimp, scallops and clam strips. It was delicious. Great onion rings. Stick to the fried seafood and you'll be happy. Everytime I've ordered from the specials menu I've been disappointed. Wish they had fresh-brewed iced tea.
Always a treat to go here! When they shut down for some winter break, it's always nice to know they'll be back! Great place to try frog legs! But the haddock and chicken nuggets keeps you coming back!
My son and I spent the afternoon hiking Jacob's Hill to Tully Lake and worked up a great hunger. We stopped in at Pete & Henry's and had a delightful time talking with John and some of the locals. My son had fried chicken and a grilled cheese which definitely hit the spot. I had a delicious lobster salad on top of greens which was perfect. We also tried the Lost Sailor IPA from Berkshire Brewing and it was very good too. Will definitely go back to P&H.
Love the seafood here. We got the "smaller" portions, which were plenty for us.
